This artwork "Apricot Forest in Warm Spring" is 12.2 meters high and 6.2 meters wide, which was made by Professor Quan Huimin from Institute of Environmental Arts, Beijing University of Technol-ogy. This painting is the leading cultural landscape of Xiyuan Hospital, implying that the hospital is located in the treasure land in the northwest of Beijing.

The distant-view part at the highest point shows clearly that the pagoda stands on the top of Yuquan Mountain, just like the head of a loong, which means the concern and support of the Party and the government for the reconstruction and expansion project of Xiyuan Hospital and even the cause of Chinese medicine.

The middle-viewpart is the royal garden Summer Palace, in which Longevity Hill stands tall and Kunming Lake is sparkling. 

The close-view part is the new outpatient building of Xiyuan Hospital in the shade of pine and cypress, with blooming peach blossoms and apricot flowers bathed in fresh air.

The term "Apricot Forest" comes from the Biography of Immortals written by GeHongin the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and later this term was added with the meaning of medical practice place.

The term "Warm Spring means that the spring of Xiyuan Hospital is coming, and it also places good wishes on the development of Chinese medicine industry.
