Further Education is a priority project in Xiyuan Hospital, including hospital workers re-education, residency standardized training, further learning. Since 2000, the Department of Education of Xiyuan Hospital started "Program of further education for clinical professional and technical personnel" and "Implementing measures of management" to make further education gradually standardized, systematic and scientific. To enhance the capacity of hospital workers, according to their different levels, using the credit system management, Department of Education makes different training plans and organizes various educational activities. Xiyuan Hospital is one of the practitioner training bases. Every year about 100 doctors from other institutes receive medical training in Xiyuan hospital. Xiyuan Hospital is also a national training base for Integrative medicine talents. Hospital has organized 22 two-year TCM classes so far in early 2024 for Western medicine doctors who want to learn TCM.
